Wikipedia Trail: From Shastriya Nritya To Indus Valley Civilisation

Something that has always interested me were Indian classical dances, or Shastriya Nritya. This page talked about many different genres and styles of dance, which lead me to looking into the Bharatanatyam dance. This genre originated in the Hindu temples and is usually a dance preformed by just one woman. This then lead me to attire for the dance, which is the Sari. The most popular style of wearing a Sari is the Nivi style. Saris are known for their equivalence to grace and beauty. This then lead me to the birthplace of the Sari, the Indus Valley Civilisation. This area included many of the northwestern regions of South Asia, including what we know today as Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northwest India.
