Reading Options

For week 2 of this course, I plan on reading Public Domain Ramayana. The two main factors that went into making this decision were cost and mobility. I nanny every afternoon and spend a lot of time outside, so the option that allows me to download the PDF to my phone, and is free, was the best choice for me personally. While I have not formally studies mythology, I loved reading about Greek mythology growing up. I have not yet visited India, but three of my close friends growing up are from India! I feel like I have had a leg up on many when it comes to Indian music, Indian radio stations, watching traditional dances, and cooking traditional meals. I've also spent a great deal of time in England, which has a lot of traditional Indian culture interwoven in society. I'm excited to learn more about the foundational pillars of Indian culture through these stories and hope to travel to India soon to experience everything through a different perspective.
