Reading Notes: Public Domain Ramayana, Part D

During this part of the reading, my attention was focused on the idea of Gods at war with each other as well as a few monsters. The story of Kumbhakarna gave me the idea of the addition of monsters and a villain. I also like the idea of revenge for the fallen in Ravana's Lament.

Thinking about my story for this week I would like my story to be predominantly about a battle of the Gods versus a monster or evil. The second element that I want to include is symbolism of the monster. I think when it comes time to write my story, I will feel more connect to it if it had something to do with a deeper, more meaningful deeper meaning. Lastly, I want the element of revenge to be included. Whatever/whoever the monster stands for is not happy and will prove to be a reoccurring thorn in the side of the heroes. You never know when/how this story may continue throughout this course!
